We're Here to Help, Not Take Over
We’re not another builder trying to take your business or “buy the job.” We offer project consulting expertly designed to help you finish your build the right way.
Whether your builder disappeared, went quiet, or just isn’t delivering, we step in with the support, strategy, and proven parts you need to get it done and get your truck back on the road.

The Hidden Cost of Incomplete Restorations
You’ve already committed six figures, often $200K+, into your dream Defender.
But now the builder is silent. Timelines are slipping and the shop is overwhelmed…or worse, out of business.
At Blackbridge Motors, we’ve built and delivered hundreds of custom vehicles and seen it all. That’s why we created Project Rescue, a tailored service to assess, recover, and complete high-end Defender builds that have stalled due to inexperience, management issues, labor shortages, or financial difficulties.

Experience. Precision. Trust.
I’ve managed multiple classic vehicle projects over the years and this was the first time I felt completely stuck. The Blackbridge team approached the situation like engineers, not salespeople. They reviewed every detail, explained the gaps, and gave me a structured plan to move forward. I didn’t need a new builder. I needed a system. That’s what they gave me.

Our truck had been sitting at a shop for over a year with no end in sight. We kept getting excuses and invoices but no progress. Blackbridge was the first company that didn’t just tell us what we wanted to hear. They were honest, direct, and incredibly organized. It felt like someone finally took us seriously. I wish we’d called them months earlier.

I was deep into a Defender project I started with a local shop. We got in over our heads with drivetrain and electrical. Blackbridge didn’t try to sell me a rebuild. They helped me figure out exactly what was missing, sourced what I couldn’t get, and connected me to a shop that could finish what we started. I’d work with them again in a heartbeat.

Rescue Your Build: What to Know
What is Project Rescue?
Project Rescue is a consulting service by Blackbridge Motors that helps owners of stalled Land Rover Defender restorations get their builds back on track. We assess the current state of your project, create a realistic completion plan, and connect you with vetted partner shops and parts to finish the job right.
How much does Project Rescue cost?
Pricing varies depending on the level of involvement, but we offer an initial consultation at a flat rate. After that, we tailor a plan based on your needs—whether that’s hourly consulting, parts supply, or full project management.
Can you help if my vehicle is in another state?
Absolutely. We’ve built a nationwide network of trusted shops and logistics partners. No matter where your Defender is located, we can coordinate transport and oversee completion remotely.
Do you help with with other vehicles or just Defenders?
Currently, we are focusing on Land Rover Defenders and offer expert support for all Defender 90 and 110 builds. If you're working on a Defender, we provide high-quality engineered parts and guidance to help you complete your project.
My vehicle is at a shop that isn’t making progress—what do I do?
Start by contacting us. We’ll perform a full project audit based on photos, invoices, and communication history. From there, we’ll help you determine the best path forward, whether that’s staying with your current shop, switching to a new one, or transitioning the vehicle elsewhere.
Do you offer parts to help complete my build?
Yes. Blackbridge Motors offers a growing catalog of engineered parts and chassis systems to support project completion, especially when sourcing original components becomes difficult or delays progress.
How do I know if my current shop is trustworthy or capable?
We’ll help you evaluate that. Our team has reviewed hundreds of projects and knows what red flags to look for—missed deadlines, vague communication, or poor workmanship. We can assess your shop’s progress and help you decide whether to stay the course or pivot.
What if I already paid a lot of money but the work isn’t done?
Unfortunately, that’s a common situation. While we can’t recover lost funds, we can help you salvage your investment by auditing the work, identifying what’s usable, and guiding you through the most cost-effective way to finish your build.
Can you help finish a build that was done overseas?
Yes. Whether the vehicle was imported partially complete or arrived with issues, we can help you evaluate its condition, correct any compliance or safety concerns, and see the build through to a reliable, drivable finish.
Do you take over the project or just provide consulting?
We offer both. In most cases, we act as a consultant and project manager, overseeing the process and coordinating with trusted partner shops nationwide. If needed, we can also bring projects in-house depending on scope and timing.
